Camino Verde Bed and Breakfast Monteverde offers rooms with simple décor. All guestrooms include free WiFi. Dining at the B&B

Camino Verde B&B serves a full breakfast with five options: Costa Rican rice and beans with eggs, homemade butter pancakes, whole wheat bread with fried or scrambled eggs, Monteverde organic coffee, orange juice, green juice, tea, local organic granola, yogurt, and homemade marmalade (pineapple, papaya, brown sugar, cinnamon), plus bacon or sausage. Guests have access to a communal kitchen with a fridge, microwave, stove, satellite TV, and free tea and coffee throughout the day.

Things to do

Guests can see animals and nature. The Monteverde Park and Santa Elena offer scenic trails. The Selvatura's Tree Top Walkways consist of a 1.9-mile trail that crosses through the Monteverde Cloud Forest with suspended bridges. You can fly through the forest like a monkey on more than 12 cables, 16 platforms, a Tarzan Swing, and rappelling. You can also visit a sugar mill, a coffee farm, and a chocolate exhibition. The most common animals seen are sloths, sleeping toucans, kinkajous, tarantulas, and frogs.

Location and Transport

Camino Verde B&B Monteverde Costa Rica is in Santa Elena, the most populated area. The Camino Verde Souvenir Shop in the town center arranges a free shuttle to the B&B. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from restaurants, art galleries, and grocery stores. Monteverde Hotel is 15 minutes from the entrance to Monteverde Park and Santa Elena. Private shuttles are available from any airport or location in Costa Rica. A private shuttle from Liberia Downtown or Airport (LIR) to Monteverde takes approximately 3 hours. Buses depart from Terminal Atlántico Norte in San Jose at 6:30 a.m or 2:30 p.m.
