Boutique Hotel Schlossberg offers 17 rooms with air conditioning, free WiFi, and safes. The former prison wing includes 14 modern double rooms and one family room, each overlooking the courtyard and the keep. The exclusive tower room features frescoes dating from 1567 and views of the town. The panorama room provides views of Lake Thun and the Alps. All rooms include a desk, a flat-screen TV, and tea or coffee facilities. Bathrobes and sauna towels are provided. Bathrooms include free toiletries.

Dining at Schlossberg

Restaurant & Hotel Schlossberg Thun features Alpine cuisine. Chefs create dishes from lunch through à la carte menus, accompanied by regional wines. The Schlossberg also has a fully equipped bar with seating for 20. The cellar vault houses wines and can be booked for events. The courtyard is open to town hikers and day-trippers. During the summer, the outdoor terrace offers views until sunset. In winter, home-made mulled wine and fondue appetizers are served beside a fire bowl. The restaurant is open on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Relaxation and Wellness

Guests can access a wellness area with a sauna, steam bath, hot tub, and loungers. Guests can use the Finnish sauna or the steam sauna. Soft bathrobes and sauna towels are available in each room. The spa area is open daily from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Guests are asked to notify the hotel one hour in advance to use the spa.

Boutique Hotel Schlossberg is located atop Thun's Schlossberg mountain, a 10-minute walk from Thun. The Schlossberg offers views of the town, the lake, and the High Alps. Thun is 20 minutes from Bern and 90 minutes from Zurich, Basel, and Lausanne via public transport. A lift connects Obere Hauptgasse 27 in the old town directly to the Schlossberg. By foot from town: From Thun hospital and Burgstrasse Cross Burgstrasse, follow the footpath as far as the public car park at the Schlossberg junction, follow 'Schlossberg' road as far as the castle gates (approx. 5-7 min. ).
