Hotel das Cataratas has 187 rooms and suites. Each features paintings of the local flora and fauna by Brazilian artist Ludmilla de Montes and traditional azulejos. Ipê Restaurant, located by the pool, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lunch varies through the week, from an à la carte menu of traditional Brazilian dishes to a classic feijoada and international buffet on Saturdays, or a roast on Sundays including a selection of drinks. Dinner features a Gaucho barbecue of meats, fish, vegetables, hot sides, salads and desserts, or a delectable à la carte menu fusing Brazilian spice with Italian sophistication. Restaurant Y specializes in Brazilian cuisine. The light snack menu at Bar Tarobá is an ideal choice for a quick bite to eat.
Leisure Facilities
Hotel das Cataratas has a large heated swimming pool and a children's pool. Guests can play tennis on the provided court or work out in the gym. The Cataratas Spa provides treatments incorporating rainforest ingredients. Traditional massage techniques combined with the healing power of heated basalt stones work to relieve tight muscles and boost circulation. Guests can practise breathing and bioenergetic exercises to connect with the negative ions produced by the thundering cascades and surrounding subtropical forest. Location and Access
Hotel das Cataratas is the only hotel within Brazil's Iguassu National Park. It is surrounded by rainforest, teeming with subtropical flora and fauna, including armadillos, wild dogs and tapirs, plus more than 400 species of bird. The hotel is a 25-minute drive from Foz do Iguaçu International Airport (IGU) and a 45-minute drive from Foz do Iguaçu. The hotel is a 1-hour drive from Aeropuerto Internacional Cataratas del Iguazú (IGR) (Argentinian side), a 2-hour flight from São Paulo International Airport (GRU) and a 2-hour flight from Rio de Janeiro International Airport (GIG). Landmarks nearby include Garganta Del Diablo (4 km), Iguazu National Park Nature Interpretation Center (2 km), and Salto Dos Hermanas (0.5 km).
