Backpackers Hotel Toyo provides private, secure rooms. All rooms are Japanese tatami mat rooms with shared toilets and shower facilities. Single A rooms lack air-conditioning and heating but include a fan in summer or a foot warmer in winter. Rooms have windows that can be opened; however, the walls are thin.
Dining: Simple and Affordable
Guests can visit the restaurant during operation hours. Inside, you'll find pasta popular with women and a reasonably priced daily set menu. A guest kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, dishes, and cups is available. Vending machines offer juice, beer, and Japanese sake.
Leisure and Facilities
Guests at Backpackers Toyo Hotel sleep in traditional Japanese futon beds on tatami floors. Free hot showers are available 24 hours. Free Internet access is provided via PC in the common room and Wi-Fi in private rooms. Guests have access to a shared kitchen, washing machines, and western-style toilets. Other features include a ping-pong room, games (PS2, ND64, board games), and bicycle hire for JPY 500 per day. A public bath is available in a neighboring hotel.

The hotel is a 2-minute walk from Midosuji Subway Dobutsuen Mae Station Exit No. 2 and a 3-minute walk from JR Loop Line Shin-Imamiya Station East Exit. From Kansai-Airport Station, take the JR Line (approximately 55 min, 1060yen). From Shin-Osaka Station, take the JR Line (approximately 25min, 220yen).
Services and Conveniences
Hair brushes, cotton swabs, cotton balls, cleanser, face wash, and lotions/emulsions are available at the front desk on the first floor. The reception is open from 7:30 am to 11 pm. Luggage can be stored for free until 10:00 PM after check-out. Laundry is available for JPY 200 per load. The hotel is in a great location with convenient access from Fukuoka Airport. You can sometimes use coupons issued by Japan or local autonomous bodies. A mechanical parking garage is prepared on the back side within the premise of TOYOHOTEL.
