“What strikes me most is the individuality of this place, a refreshing break from the usual hotel aesthetic with its shabby chic décor and community-focused events. Its location near Hastings Pier makes it incredibly convenient, and the dog-friendly policy is a real plus for pet owners wanting to explore the coast. All in all, it presents a balanced option for those seeking character and practicality.”

Astral Lodge enjoys a convenient, central location near the beach, with some guests enjoying fantastic sea views from their rooms. Many found the rooms clean and cosy, with features like smart TVs and mini-fridges, and the family room stands out for being particularly spacious. While some guests have noted that certain rooms, like the deluxe double, can feel a bit small or that the plumbing in some rooms is weak, others appreciated extras like the available parking and nearby fish and chip shop.

The room was quite small. thankfully, i didn't have much luggage. the balcony wasn't in great shape either. plus, there was scaffolding next to the building. It made sitting outside not so fun :(

Excellent Stay with Sea View

quick check-indaily necessitiesgreat vieweasy luggage drop
I dropped off my luggage early with ease. Check-in was quick and accommodating. I appreciated that. My room had all the daily necessities, including a freezer and shampoo. I also had a GREAT view of the sea from my window.
The staircase was underwhelming, but acceptable.

The hotel features a seafront location. It is conveniently close to shops (which is always a plus). The sea is very close to the hotel, and it's just across the street. I found the central location very convenient.
Service

The front desk staff was happy and polite. I found the staff very friendly and accommodating to my needs. Self check-out was convenient. It saved me time (I appreciate that).

The room had everything I needed . It included tea making facilities. That was useful for me. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. I liked having a nice en-suite bathroom.
Facilities

There was a balcony overlooking the sea from my room. I could use a phone charger in the room, which helped a lot. The building has a grand Victorian-style exterior with a pastel shade stucco.
