“The family-run Hotel Astoria, with its mountain-style decor and views of Mont Blanc, has some very nice things; I think the sun terrace and the unique dessert buffet at breakfast, are real high points. I especially like that it's close to the Mont Blanc cable car and provides a free shuttle to the center and ski areas. Overall, it seems a welcoming base for exploring Courmayeur's outdoor and cultural attractions.”
