Artistic Environment
Both inside and outside, guests will find art, crafted mostly by Konstantinos Liatakis, one of the three siblings that opened Aris Art Hotel back in 1988, and other local artists. The walls are inspired by the Greek sea, sky, and nature. Bespoke, hand-crafted wooden headboards were made by the family's artist, Kostas. The hotel has a vinyl records corner where one may enjoy music, exchange opinions, and make suggestions. Lush gardens feature tropical flowers and local flora. A ground floor terrace provides a colorful, shaded sitting area with art installations.
Relaxation and Exploration
Guests can enjoy massage and healing therapies in the garden or on the roof terrace, depending on the winds. The chill out roof terrace includes hummocks and a lounge area. Plakaki beach is near Paleochora, Chania, offering calm waters for swimming. Paleochora is an ideal destination for alternative activities like walking and trekking. Visit archaeological sites to explore the island's cultural heritage. The hotel is five minutes' walk from the town center, and away from the night buzz. Guests can explore the far western side of the island, visiting Elafonissi and Kedrodasos beaches, part of the Natura 2000 network.
