The Apollo provides self-contained apartments. Ground-level apartments include a courtyard. First-level apartments feature a small balcony. Each apartment has a separate bedroom, laundry, and a kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a dishwasher. The penthouse apartments, accessible by stairs, have a large balcony with outdoor seating, plus partial ocean and mountain views. Motel rooms include air-conditioning, a TV, bar fridge, and tea/coffee facilities. Bathrooms in motel rooms have a shower-over-bath setup; apartments offer separate showers. Motel rooms are serviced after every third night and have external building access. Note: motel rooms are 19m² and have no views.

Activities near The Apollo include exploring the Marengo Reefs Marine Sanctuary (2.5 km), Cape Marengo (1.5 km), and the Great Ocean Walk (0.3 km). The town has the only operating fishing port along the Great Ocean Road. Avalon Airport is the closest airport to the start of the Great Ocean Road. Train services operated by V/Line stop along the way in major towns.
