Antica Dimora Del Gruccione, Albergo Diffuso, Santu Lussurgiu
About the Hotel
Rooms at Antica Dimora
The Antica Dimora del Gruccione offers accommodations in multiple buildings: the main house, Depandance, Sos Gelminos, and Sa Murighessa. The parent house, an 18th-century aristocratic residence, has two double rooms, one triple room, and one suite. Sos Gelminos features early twentieth-century furnishings and craftsmanship. All rooms include beds with double pillows, televisions, and private bathrooms. Air-conditioned rooms overlook the village or garden and feature resin or parquet floors. Bathrooms provide a bathtub or shower.
Dining with Local Products
The food served at Antica Dimora comes from local farms. The restaurant uses local products, with an emphasis on Slow Food items such as Casizolu raw cow's milk cheese and Sardinian-Modica cattle. The wine list includes selections from small producers and historic farms, including the 'florizzati' wines of Montiferru. Guests can enjoy wine tastings, and the hotel offers a Romantic Dinner and Tasting experience for two.
Leisure and Activities
Guests have access to a library. The hotel organizes workshops, including The Forms of Bread, where guests can learn to make Pane Pintau, and The Tradition of Pasta, where they can learn to make traditional Sardinian pasta using semolina from local grains. The Vulcani Blues Festival takes place annually in August and September.
Location in Santu Lussurgiu
Antica Dimora del Gruccione is in Santu Lussurgiu, a village on the largest volcanic massif of Sardinia, not far from the west coast. The hotel is 95 km from Fertilia Airport. The village has narrow streets and houses made of lava stone. Guests can explore the Church of Santa Maria degli Angeli, built in 1474. A circular pathway connects the village to the hamlet.
