Am Obersee Hotel
The cozy Am Obersee Hotel is centrally situated in Simmerath, within the picturesque National Park Eifel. Little cafés and restaurants are located close to the hotel. The hotel is 45 kilometers from the imperial city of Aachen and 85 km from the international airport Cologne-Bonn.
Guest Room Features
All rooms have a box-spring bed for two persons, a 56cm TV with satellite channels, and free WiFi. Each room includes a modern daylight bath with shower, and free toiletries. Select rooms have a view of the lake and surrounding countryside. Amenities such as heating, tea and coffee facilities, a sitting area, terrace, and garden furniture are standard. Some rooms include park and lake views, subject to availability.
Dining and Refreshments
Am Obersee Hotel offers a restaurant featuring steaks, trouts and vegetables prepared in a unique Josper oven operating on charcoal. An extensive breakfast selection is available from 7:30 to 9:30. Guests can enjoy a free breakfast buffet. Coffee, pastries, and soft drinks are available. From April to October, a small lunch menu is offered. Hikers have the option to purchase a lunch packet for 6,95€.

Numerous walking routes are reachable within 5 kilometers, including the 24-kilometer-long 'Eigelsteig 3'. Twenty-five cycling routes are available within 5 kilometers, such as the 37-kilometer-long 'Am-Obersee-Hotel' cycling route. There are 24 mountain bike routes within 5 kilometers suitable for various levels of difficulty. Guests can enjoy activities such as horse riding, cycling and hiking.
