Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge offers activities such as zip line canopy tours, archery, and hatchet throwing. The Screaming Eagle Aerial Adventure Tour includes ziplines and suspension bridges. There are 10 hiking trails, including the Appalachian Trail Approach. Guided hikes are available, starting at the stone archway. The Adventure Lodge also provides guided hikes to the cliff of Amicalola Falls. A visitor center offers live reptile exhibits and trail maps. The park is 8 miles from the Appalachian Trail and within the Chattahoochee National Forest. Nearby landmarks include Burt's Farm (3.5 km), Cochrans Creek Falls (3 km), and Amicalola Falls (0.5 km). Dawsonville Moonshine Distillery is located in Dawsonville. Amicalola Falls is a 729-foot waterfall.
