“I found this converted villa on a leafy Dusseldorf street to be a quiet escape, remarkably close to the city center but with the feel of a more secluded, historical neighborhood. The architecture evoked a sense of old-world elegance, which extended to the conservatory where breakfast is served overlooking the garden. Transport links are easily accessible, but the kind of genuine hospitality I observed made me think a car might be happily forgone.”
