Rooms at Tropic Tree
Tropic Tree Maldives, located 21 km from Velana International Airport (MLE), offers four types of accommodations: Superior Double Rooms (13 sqm), Deluxe Double Rooms (15 sqm), Deluxe Triple Rooms (16 sqm), and a Family Room. All rooms include air conditioning, a TV, Wi-Fi, a room safe, and a mini fridge. Bathrooms provide fresh hot and cold water. Deluxe rooms add complimentary tea and coffee. The Family Room connects two rooms. Rooms feature coconut timber furnishings, cross ventilation, and double-glassed windows.
Dining at Tropic Platter
The hotel's in-house restaurant, Tropic Platter, is located in the ground floor garden area. Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 am to 9:00 am and features continental options with a Maldivian touch. The chefs prepare international food, including Western, Chinese, Indian, and Maldivian cuisines, using locally sourced fish and produce. Special dining experiences can be arranged on the beach or terrace upon request. Restaurant mealtimes are: Lunch (12:00 hrs till 14:00 hrs) and Dinner (19:00 hrs till 21:00 hrs).

Tropic Tree Maldives provides opportunities to engage in various activities. The hotel arranges excursions to other islands, visits to the capital island Malé, fishing trips, cruising, surfing, diving, snorkeling, sand bank visits, BBQs, trips to picnic islands, and dolphin watching. Gulhi Island offers cafes and restaurants. Cultural shows centered around Boduberu music are organized. Guests can access motorized and non-motorized water sports. Resort day visits to nearby resorts are available.
Location and Transport
Tropic Tree Maldives is on Gulhi Island, South Malé Atoll, 30 minutes by speedboat from the international airport or 80 minutes by public ferry from Malé. Speedboat ferry is US$30 per person per trip. The public ferry is approximately US$10 per person; it departs Malé at 15:00 hrs and departs Gulhi at 08:00 hrs. No public ferry services on Friday. Gulhi features two beaches. Tropic Tree is a five-minute walk from Bikini Beach. Landmarks nearby include Gulhi Beach (0.3 km), Veliganduhuraa (2 km), and Naladhu (2 km).
Hotel's Guest Services
Tropic Tree Maldives staff speaks English, German, French, Italian and Japanese. The hotel can arrange symbolic Maldivian ceremonies. Snorkeling gear is available. Staff can advise on snorkeling spots. Fishing trips with equipment and guides are arranged upon request. A dolphin watching cruise is also available. Towels are provided. The hotel does not sell alcohol but can arrange visits to resorts where alcohol can be purchased. Wi-Fi internet is provided.
