Rooms: Suites and amenities

The Strand, Yangon has 31 suites. Somerset Maugham would feel comfortable in the 55 square meter Superior Suites, featuring high ceilings and modern technology. Deluxe Suites measure 60 square meters. Each Executive Suite offers 65 square meters of space overlooking the Yangon River. The Strand Suite measures 200 square meters, includes a hand-carved four-poster bed, private sitting room, study, and a dining room for 10 guests. All suites include handwoven bed linen, a bathroom with double basin, a deep soak bathtub, air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, a mini-bar, and free Wi-Fi. Guests in all suites have access to 24-hour butler service.

Restaurants and dining

The Strand Café offers breakfast, light meals, and High Tea, with Myanmar dishes and European options. The Strand Restaurant seats 45 diners, and has a private dining room for 10 guests. Sarkies Bar at The Strand provides alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and cocktails. The Strand Café High Tea is available daily from 14h30-17h00, with classic sweets and savouries, as well as traditional Myanmar delicacies. The Cafe offers mohinga, a fish noodle soup, and ohn no khao swe, a coconut-flavored soup with chicken.

Guests can relax by the swimming pool set amidst a tropical garden. The fitness room includes fresh towels, drinking water, and fruit.
