The Creggans Inn offers standard, loch view, and superior loch view rooms. Standard rooms feature double beds and side views of the gardens and woodlands. Loch view rooms have twin or double bed options; some accommodate extra beds. Superior loch view rooms include a king-size double bed, designer wallpaper and fabrics, free WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, a TV, an alarm clock, an en suite bathroom with a shower, luxury toiletries, bathrobes, a hairdryer and slippers. All guestrooms include amenities such as free WiFi, a private bathroom with free toiletries, and a hairdryer. Ironing facilities, heating, a sitting area, a terrace, and garden furniture are also standard.
Dining by Loch Fyne
MacPhunn's Bar & Bistro features a menu with locally sourced, seasonal dishes, such as Hand Dived Loch Fyne Scallops and local estate venison. MacPhunn's Bar and Restaurant serves a range of malt whiskies and local real ales. Breakfast, with a buffet selection alongside hot cooked dishes, is served in the loch view breakfast room, accessed through the main lounge. Guests can book a table for dinner in the Restaurant. A Creggans Christmas Kitchen is available.
Leisure at The Inn
Guests can walk along the loch's edge. Fishing rods can be borrowed from the hotel for fishing on the loch. On chilly evenings, Hector award winning Hotel of the Year Doggie can be found curled up by one of the log fires in the Inn. A gift shop features local arts and crafts.
Location and Access
The Creggans Inn is located in Strachur, in the Cowal Peninsula of Argyll, on the eastern shore of Loch Fyne, in the Firth of Clyde. Landmarks nearby include Argyll Adventure (3.5 km), Inveraray Bell Tower (6 km), Inverary Maritime Centre (5.5 km), Auchindrain Township (5.5 km), War Memorial (6 km), Inveraray Jail (6 km) and Strachur Smiddy Museum and Craft Shop (1 km). Glasgow is 90 km away. By train, there are train stations at Arrochar and Dunoon Pier (both 19 miles). By air, Glasgow International Airport (50 miles) or Glasgow Prestwick Airport are accessible.
Services at Creggans Inn
Check-in is at 3 PM, and check-out is at 11 AM. Pets are welcome for £15.00 per pet per night, with a maximum of one large dog or two small dogs per room; towels are available for cleaning or drying your dog. Hand sanitizer is available. A Guest Health Questionnaire must be completed. The waiting team will welcome you. The card machine is sanitized with each use and wipes are available; cash payments are accepted. Disposable gloves are available for guest use.
