The Stewart House offers nine guest rooms with period styling. Rooms include air conditioning, tea and coffee facilities, flat-screen TVs, and parquet floors. Bathrobes are provided. There is a large sunny room with three river view windows, a queen bed, antique dresser and sitting area. One grand guest room has two queen beds and living area with views of the Stewart House willow trees and garden. A luxurious suite features a large sitting area, soaking tub, antique wet bar, king sized bed and river view.
Dining Experience
The Stewart House features an Art Deco bar and dining room with hand-painted murals and tin ceilings. The ever-evolving menu includes farm-sourced dishes. The bar features locally distilled spirits, craft beer, and wine. The River Grill provides waterfront dining on the Hudson River, featuring cocktails, local craft beer, and wood-fired grill specials. Chips n dip, burrata, single-flip burgers, ribs, tacos, shrimp rolls, and salads are on the menu. The Tavern provides live music and weekly specials, such as Thursday burger and beer specials, 'Fish Frydays,' and 'Sunday Roasts.' Chef Rachel Bartlett brings seasonal, locally produced foods to the classic menu.

The Stewart House is located in Athens, near architecture from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. River views include watercraft, from tankers to jet skis. The Hudson River Skywalk and Thomas Cole National Historic Site are nearby. Cohotate Preserve provides river access and possible sightings of bald eagles and great blue herons. The cross-river ferry offers service between Hudson and Athens on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Events and Gatherings
The Stewart House accommodates special experiences for up to 20 people, including custom menus and wine pairings. The venue is available for weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal luncheons, birthdays, anniversaries, business meetings, and networking cocktail hours. In-house event planners are available. Business retreats can be accommodated, with nine guest rooms and common areas for meetings.
