Scribner's Catskill Lodge, a Design Hotels member, features 38 rooms and suites. Accommodations include: Scribner Suite (600 sq ft) with a king bed, sunken living room, fireplace, and mountain-view terrace, plus a loft with two double beds; Hunter Suite (525 sq ft) with a king bed, bunk beds, fireplace, and mountain-view terrace; Summit King Loft (500 sq ft) with a king bed in a loft, fireplace, and mountain-view terrace; Summit Double Queen (450 sq ft) with two queen beds, a fireplace, and a mountain-view terrace. Bungalow King rooms (400 sq ft) have a king bed and mountain views. Mountain Double rooms (350 sq ft) offer two double beds and a mountain-view terrace. Mountain King rooms (250 sq ft) feature a king bed and mountain views. Select rooms have views of the surrounding forest and can sleep between 2 to 4 people. Catskill Queen Loft rooms feature custom furniture, a fireplace, and a lofted sleeping area with one queen bed, accessible by stairs. All rooms have dark maple wood floors, custom furniture, rain showers with terra-cotta tiles, Waterworks fixtures, and Scribner's custom bath products. Two wallpaper designs, 'Winter Forest' and 'Catskill Ferns,' created by Alexandra Reboul, decorate some rooms.
Dining at Prospect
Prospect Restaurant and Bar serves New American cuisine with ingredients from local providers and the on-site Scribner's Garden. Chef Alejandro Reyes Herrera prepares seasonal dishes. The Scribner's Garden provides fresh produce and microgreens for dishes during spring, summer, and autumn. The Whiskey Lounge, adjacent to Prospect's dining room, is a 500-square-foot space with a fireplace and vintage decor.
Leisure and Activities
Scribner's Catskill Lodge offers various activities. Guests can use the seasonal pool with views of the Catskill Mountains. The Library features seating areas, a circular fireplace, a billiards table, and access to the West Deck. The Front Lawn includes a bocce ball court, a firepit, and lawn games. The Bluestone Patio hosts a 'glice' skating rink in colder months. The Apex Lounge has a fireplace and coffee/tea station. The Sauna offers mountain views. A Kids Corner, located in the Studio, provides a space for children to play. The Meadow offers paths for exploring indigenous plants and wildlife. Guests can roast s'mores on the West Deck. Après Ski at Scribner's is offered for the 6th year.
Location and Access
Scribner's Catskill Lodge is located in Hunter, 100 km from Albany International Airport. Trailways bus service drops passengers 1/4 mile from the lodge. The Lodge overlooks a Meadow field that offers an eco-system for indigenous plants and wildlife. The West Side of the property has views of Hunter Mountain and the Catskill Mountains. Nearby landmarks include Plattekill Falls (5 km), Tops Friendly Market (4 km), and Hunter Mountain (1.5 km).
