“The hotel's architecture, reminiscent of French mansions along Paseo Montejo, promises an elegant stay; and while its location is undeniably strategic for exploring the historic sites, there seem to be some consistency issues, especially in the standard rooms. Perhaps the award-winning restaurant and unique chocolate spa treatments are worth the visit, but it's wise to set measured expectations regarding the accommodations themselves, as, at least from my perspective as Editor, some of the rooms do not seem up to par for a luxury experience.”
