Guestrooms and Suites
Rosario offers guestrooms and suites spread across 30 waterfront acres. Rooms offer water views, with most located directly on the water. The Bayside Villa rooms, near the Moran Mansion and Rosario Marina, offer a choice of one king or two queen beds. These rooms include sliding glass doors to a patio or balcony, televisions, small refrigerators, free wireless internet, coffee makers, and private bathrooms. Select rooms and suites also have gas fireplaces. Bayside Queen rooms provide partial views of the Moran Mansion or the Rosario Marina. Bayside Waterfront King rooms have views of East Sound and a deck overlooking the shoreline, plus a king bed and a sitting/dining area. Deluxe Waterfront King rooms include views of East Sound, a deck, a king bed, a gas fireplace, and a sitting/dining area. Hillside rooms, a 15-minute walk or 2-minute drive from the Moran Mansion, feature views of the islands and offer both king and queen beds. One-bedroom suites are available with a kitchenette and a gas fireplace.
Onsite Restaurants
Rosario features two restaurants, each with its menu and environment. The MORAN LOUNGE offers fireside cocktails and food from main menu in a historic setting. There is also a casual outdoor restaurant overlooking the marina that offers cocktails, appetizers, burgers, seafood, fish & chips, and salads.
Leisure and Activities
Rosario provides a range of activities. Guests can start their day with a swim in the indoor pool or a workout in the fitness room, and indulge in spa services. Shearwater Adventures provides sea kayaking tours, suited for all skill levels. Kayakers can explore tide pools and look for wildlife. Private guided horseback rides & lunch rides are available at Turtlehead Trails, which can include swimming & /or hiking. Rosario has more than 5 acres with 38 miles of trails for hiking and mountain biking, plus lakes and waterfalls. Whale-watching tours, in partnership with Outer Island Excursions, provide opportunities to witness whales in their natural habitat. Private fishing charters are available, offering family-friendly bottom fishing trips.
Location and Access
Rosario Resort & Spa is located on Orcas Island, 80 miles northwest of Seattle and 95 miles southwest of Vancouver, British Columbia. The Orcas Island Farmer's Market is a weekly gathering of farmers, artists, and chefs. Constitution provides a 360-degree view of the San Juan Archipelago, Vancouver Island, and the Cascade & Olympic Mountain Ranges. Rosario Village is 15 km from Orcas Island. Landmarks near the property include Rustic Falls (3 km), Cascade Falls (3 km), and Mount Constitution (4.5 km).
Hotel Services
Rosario ensures a secure hotel stay, providing a digital guidebook with a link to complete the check-in process online. Guests receive a personal door code, eliminating the need to stop by the front desk. Domestic facsimile transmittal is available at the Front Desk located in the Moran Mansion. No housekeeping stayover services are provided during the stay. Outer Island Excursions offers private charter options tailored to accommodate groups of various sizes, with direct service to the Rosario Marina. Educational trips with experienced captain/naturalists depart from Memorial Day through Labor Day directly from the Rosario Marina.
