The Restaurant Löwenherz serves traditional Austrian cuisine, including beef tenderloin and fried trout. The restaurant uses ingredients and offers a selection of wines from the Wachau vineyards. The breakfast buffet includes regional foods, homemade apricot jam, and Wachauer Laberl from Bäckerei Schmidl in Dürnstein. The restaurant is open from 6:00 p.m. on Monday, Thursday, and Friday in April and October. The restaurant is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The restaurant has a terrace.
Leisure Facilities
The hotel features a convent garden with a swimming pool, open from May to September. The garden includes lounge chairs and fig trees. Guests can rent city bikes (€14 per day) and e-bikes (€34 per day). The hotel also provides a digital holiday guide with local excursion tips.
Location & Access
Hotel Richard Loewenherz is in the medieval town of Dürnstein, a World Cultural Heritage region of the Wachau. The hotel is 100 km from Vienna International Airport. From Krems train station, guests can take a taxi or a bus to Dürnstein. The Wachaubahn operates from July to September. The boat dock for boats on the Danube is below the Dürnstein monastery (Donaustation 20). The Baroque Abbey of Goettweig is on a mountain south of Krems.

Hotel Richard Loewenherz provides parking in two courtyards. An authorization card for the hotel car park is provided upon arrival. Guests can bring pets for an extra charge of €16 per night. A beverage and snack vending machine is available on the first floor. Massage services are available. The hotel offers a covered bicycle parking space free of charge. Guests staying at least three nights receive a piccolo of Löwenherz sparkling wine or a glass of homemade apricot jam.
