Acceptable Stay with Some Shortcomings

missing air conditioning disruptive gardening
The lack of air conditioning was a real issue. It made the room uncomfortably warm. The noise from nearby gardening work disrupted the peaceful atmosphere. I think the hotel should address these comfort and noise issues .

Lovely Cliffside Stay

fresh fruit pastry selection friendly staff
The breakfast had amazing choices. I enjoyed the fresh fruit and pastries. The location showed amazing views. I was charmed by the friendly staff. They ensured I had everything I needed. I found little chocolates left in my room each afternoon.
The outdoor pool had cold temperature. I would have preferred it a bit warmer, for a more refreshing experience.

serene getaway with amazing views

wonderful view friendly staff new room
The location afforded wonderful sea views. staff members were friendly. They helped outside the remit of their expected duties. detail was evident in all hotel areas. i found the new rooms especially good.
I found no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. This did detract slightly from the experience.

The hotel setting provides magnificent views. It is ideal if you are looking for a place outside funchal. access to the north side nature is excellent and only 30-40min drive from the airport. the cliffs add a great view!

Breakfast included a broad selection of breads, cereals, cooked food and fruit. the breakfast buffet was superb. The food tasted very fresh. the pizzeria at the end of the vineyard is recommendable, the variety of options were great.

The room lacked air conditioning and it became uncomfortably hot. I struggled to sleep. A constant loud buzzing came from the extractor fans. The sound isolation was shocking!

friendly staff delicious breakfast amazing view absent air outdated decor disappointing villa
the staff seemed friendly, a kindness i appreciated. breakfast offered an extensive selection of foods and was delicious. the views were amazing and expansive.
air conditioning was absent throughout the entire building. this made the heat almost UNBEARABLE. the two-bedroom villa proved disappointing with its outdated decor.
