BALEENkitchen is a marina-side restaurant with seasonal menus, eclectic dining options, and craft cocktails. The Living Room features the BALEENkitchen menu, ocean sunsets, and classic cocktails. BALEENlounge has small plates, reinvented cocktails, and live music. The hotel also offers a unique dining experience at the Baleen restaurant, featuring a varied seafood menu, and has a patio overlooking the marina with an upstairs bar with fireside sofas and chairs. BALEENkitchen uses local products and fresh, seasonal produce.
Leisure and Activities
The new Dockside Adventure Center offers kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, scuba gear, deep-sea fishing, and boat charters, as well as bike rentals, beer tastings, cocktail-making classes, and paint-and-sip events. Guests can enjoy the oceanfront pool or visit the fitness center with Peloton bikes. Complimentary cruiser bicycles are available daily from the Dockside Adventure Center, complete with locks, baskets, and helmets. The hotel also offers weekly live entertainment by local artists.
Location and Access
The Portofino Hotel & Marina is located on a peninsula in Redondo Beach, between Venice Beach and Playa del Rey, 15 km from Los Angeles International Airport. It is situated next to the Hermosa Beach Strand and close to Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, and Manhattan Beach. The hotel is near the Metro Station (Line 5) and Bus Stop #42. The scenic path along the ocean leads to the International Boardwalk, lined with restaurants, shops, and bars.
