4-star resort near Jan Thiel Beach with diving center

Location

Livingstone Jan Thiel Beach Resort is situated near Jan Thiel Beach, one of the top beach and nightlife areas in Curaçao. The resort is located only 10 minutes by car from Willemstad and 25 minutes from the airport. Guests have easy access to the exclusive Jan Thiel Plaza, which includes various dining options, shops, and a casino.

Accommodation

The hotel offers a variety of accommodations, including standard hotel rooms, spacious apartments, and private villas. Guests can choose from rooms with balconies overlooking tropical gardens or villas with ocean views. All options are surrounded by a lush tropical garden, providing a serene atmosphere.

Diving Center

Jan Thiel Diving is the hotel's own diving center, providing courses and guided diving experiences for all skill levels. The center offers access to some of the best dive spots in Curaçao, including famous reefs and wrecks. Small group sizes ensure personalized attention from certified instructors.

Dining

Mondi Jan Thiel Restaurant delivers an Italian-inspired menu with a Caribbean twist. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the restaurant serves fresh pasta, local ingredients, and signature cocktails. Guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet, adding to the dining options at the resort.

Leisure

Livingstone Jan Thiel Beach Resort features one of the largest swimming pools in Curaçao, complete with a kid's pool and lounge beds. The Leisure Center serves as the main hub for guest services and support. Additional recreational activities, including beach access and fun excursions, are also available.

Highlights

Location: Near Jan Thiel Beach, 10 min from Willemstad

Accommodation: Hotel rooms, apartments, and villas

Diving: Jan Thiel Diving center for courses and guided dives

Dining: Mondi Jan Thiel Restaurant with Italian-Caribbean menu

Pool: One of the largest swimming pools in Curaçao

“The resort's proximity to Jan Thiel Beach is a definite plus, placing guests steps away from the Curaçaoan coast. I think families, in particular, will find appeal in the kids' diving programs and the expansive pool area. Dining here presents a mix of Caribbean and Italian flavors, though anticipate possible service hiccups. Overall, it seems a solid base for exploring Willemstad, provided you manage expectations.”
