Hotel Hive, Washington DC's first micro hotel, features distinctive 125-250 square foot micro rooms. Each room varies in size, shape, and style. Rooms include Instagram-friendly quotes on the walls. Technological features such as advance check-in are available via smartphone. Every room has a private bathroom fitted with a shower. Some rooms feature bunk beds, smart TVs for each bunk bed, individually controlled air conditioning, high ceilings, rustic beams, and exposed brick. Adapted rooms with roll-in showers are available on the lobby level. Buzz Rooms are located near the bar and pizza shop.

Hotel Hive offers unique food and drink spaces in partnership with &pizza. The &pizza shop serves chef-inspired pizzas. Guests can order for curbside pickup or contactless delivery. The Hive Bar offers craft cocktails made with locally produced liquors and coffee by La Colombe. The Hive Rooftop bar also features craft cocktails. Daily breakfast service includes complimentary drip coffee from 6am to 10:30am, with breakfast food available from 8:00am to 10:30am.

Hotel Hive features a glass lift showcasing a different colorful mural by a local artist on each level. Art is displayed across the walls. The hotel has a small library in the Hive lounge.
