Hidden Garden Cottages & Suites features two cottages and two suites in downtown Saugatuck. All units include fireplaces, whirlpool tubs for two in the private bath, and kitchens stocked with a daily in-room continental breakfast. The Orleans Cottage displays original Mardi Gras posters and serigraphs from New Orleans artist James Michalopoulos in the bathroom and galley kitchen. The Tuscany Cottage has a four-poster bed and stone fireplace, with original artwork from Florence, Sienna, and the hill towns of Tuscany on the walls. The Kilimanjaro Suite has the original pine floor, a gas fireplace, a kitchen with a refrigerator & microwave, and an enclosed porch with rockers and a fountain. The San Juan Suite features a separate bedroom with a king bed, a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, and a wood-burning fireplace. The San Juan Suite is large enough to serve as a gathering space for two or three couples and features artwork and crafts from Puerto Rico.
Breakfast Details
Breakfast at Hidden Garden Cottages & Suites is designed to offer flexibility. Each unit's kitchen is stocked with a continental breakfast. Muffins are baked from scratch daily, and local berries are used in the fruit cup. Yogurt, cereal, juice, and milk are also provided. Coffee, tea, chai, and hot chocolate are available. Special dietary needs can be accommodated when possible.
Leisure and Activities
Hidden Garden Cottages & Suites is near several leisure activities. The Star of Saugatuck offers cruises on the river and Lake Michigan. Retro Boat Rentals provides restored electric cruisers. Saugatuck Dunes State Park features trails. Oval Beach is accessible via trails on the west side of Mt. Baldy. Dune Rides offers rides through dunes and forests. The summer art school of the Art Institute of Chicago, Oxbow, is also nearby. The restored Union School features a Back-In-Time Pathway Garden and a restored 1854 Francis metallic lifesaving boat along with a history of lifesaving and shipwrecks on Lake Michigan.

Wicks Park, unique shops, boutiques, and galleries are within walking distance. The Chain Ferry crosses the Kalamazoo River. The Saugatuck Center for the Arts features a Rain Garden. You can view the natural area surrounding the only pristine river entrance left on the Great Lakes.
