Glacier View Lodge is located on the 3rd floor of the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre, off the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93 N). Rooms include a television, a seating area, a Nespresso machine and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. Rooms feature either Rocky Mountain or Athabasca Glacier views. Mountain View rooms include signature plush beds. Glacier View rooms include guided tours, a welcome reception with signature drinks and hot drinks on the Athabasca Glacier.

On-Site Dining

Altitude Restaurant offers full table service and locally sourced Canadian cuisine with glacial views. The Columbia Icefield Restaurant includes a dining room and lunchtime cafeteria serving salads and hamburgers. Chalet offers prepared food with grab-and-go service. Starbucks is also located on-site. Menu items include the Robi Breakfast Wrap, Athabasca Smoked Salmon Lox, and Charlton Classic Breakfast. The Lunch Buffet features a soup station, salad station, sides and vegetables, entrées, and dessert. The Chalet celebrates the heritage of the original red-roofed Columbia Icefield Chalet.

Activities & Entertainment

Guests can visit the Viewing Deck, relax in the Moraine Lounge, or read a book from the library. Your stay includes a guided evening Columbia Icefield Skywalk tour and a morning tour on the Athabasca Glacier aboard an Ice Odyssey vehicle. Shuttle boarding for the Evening on the Skywalk is at the Moraine Lounge. Shuttle boarding for the Morning on the Athabasca Glacier is at 7 AM.

Location & Transportation

Glacier View Lodge is one hour south of Jasper and 2.5 hours north of Banff, accessible via the Icefields Parkway (Highway 93 N). Landmarks nearby include Sunwapta Lake (1 km), Mount Wilcox (3 km), and the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre (0.3 km). The Brewster Express provides transfers between Jasper, Banff, and Calgary, with stops at the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre and Lake Louise. Ample parking is available at the Columbia Icefield Glacier Discovery Centre.
