“This is a stately, historic property dating back to 1875, offering a unique stay with its Art Deco architecture and tranquil courtyard filled with live parrots; the rooms are spacious, and many have lovely village scene paintings. Its location, just steps from the Metropolitan Cathedral, makes it an ideal base for exploring Mexico City's historic center; I found the on-site restaurant 'La Capilla' to be quite convenient. It strikes me as a particularly good choice if you appreciate having a true sense of place.”
