uncomfortable bed bathroom smell

i wasn't too thrilled with a couple of things. the bed was quite uncomfortable. also, i noticed an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom pipes. (it was a bit off-putting, to be honest).

a good stay in madeira

modern gym sports center express buses

the gym has three treadmills and two stationary bikes. i used the sports center and found the trainers great. facilities include a lido, spa and a dive center next door. express buses to funchal pass close to the site.

the air con didn't work in my room. the thermostat would not budge below 22 degrees. i would have given five stars WITHOUT the air con issue.

the breakfast had a great variety. i found the workout facilities nice. the location was good because it was away from the funchal business.

the employee at the desk was alone, probably tired. the phone interrupted her often. there were limited free parking spaces .

charming stay!

large bed large balcony quality breakfast

i found the bedroom excellent with a very large bed. a large balcony overlooked the ocean. i also enjoyed the excellent quality breakfast. the evening buffet offered lots of choices.

I noticed the hairdryer is nowhere near a mirror. This made it tricky when trying to style my hair.

the hotel is situated close to the sea, offering easy access. there are many spots to explore near the hotel. a walk to the left of the hotel leads to a promenade.

the staff was very friendly, also helpful. the reception staff were excellent and the rest response was fast. i really appreciated the quick and efficient assistance i received throughout my stay.

the breakfast buffet had rich and delicious options. there is also a sister hotel called galomar, it has a great outdoor natural pool area for swimming. the spa also offers a sauna with a super view of the ocean
