Onsite Dining

A buffet breakfast is served each morning at Fljótshlíd Hotel. Local produce from the Smáratún farm is served at the in-house The Barn Restaurant. Ívar ensures that the restaurant always has the best raw material possible. Smáratún farm is one of the very few restaurants in Iceland that have been certified with the Nordic Swan Eco-Label.

Leisure Activities

Guests at Hotel Fljotshlid can enjoy a game of pool in the lobby. Smáratún farm offers horseback riding through fields with views of Eyjafjallajökull. Guests can also have a first hand interaction with Icelandic horses. A campsite is available in the garden among the old trees.

Location & Access

Hotel Fljotshlid is located in the Fljótshlíð agricultural area off road nr. Smáratún Farm is located 2 km from the hotel, and Tumastathir is 3 km away. The ferry for Vestmannaeyjar Island departs at Landeyjarhöfn Harbor, a 30-minute drive from the hotel. Vestmannaeyjar is 50 km away.
