Acceptable Stay with Noticeable Issues

The hotel had a decent location. It was situated between two beaches, and Chaweng Noi was to be the nicer one (that's my opinion).
The bathrooms were old. Rooms were not spotlessly clean. The sunbeds by the beach were also very old and dirty.

musty smell poor lighting
The location is good with laundry and a pharmacy nearby which proved useful.
The room's air conditioning struggled to cool the space adequately a musty smell lingered. Furnishings was dated and lighting was poor. The bed was uncomfortably low to the ground. The restaurant felt under-ventilated and not particularly clean. Also staff seemed irritated by additional questions.

strong mold room entry
The LOCATION is good. It is in the south of the beach.
Our standard room smelled strongly of mold upon entry. A room change did not solve the problem. This is UNACCEPTABLE.

wonderful stay!

beautiful room effective air conditioning fresh fruit late checkout
i stayed in a beautiful double room. the air CONDITIONING worked really well. the buffet breakfast included fresh fruit and omelets. the grounds are well-kept and feature lovely landscaping. the staff allowed a late checkout free, which i REALLY appreciated.
the shower pressure was slightly low one morning, BUT it improved later in the day.

The beach was beautiful and kept very clean.
Our room was quite small and had no windows. There was only 1 plug socket in the room, very inconvenient. The bed was also hard, and one spring felt broken.

The location was alright. Breakfast offered enough options.
The furnishings in the room seemed quite old. The room was dimly lit, feel even more dated. I noticed the air conditioning was weakwith a stuffy feeling and a slight unpleasant smell in the room.
