“Hotel El Rancho charms with its vintage appeal; the throwback decor and quirky elevator create a memorable, if slightly dated, experience. I found the 49ers Lounge a true highlight, offering tasty drinks and friendly staff, even if the rooms themselves can feel a little cramped. If you appreciate history and a bit of local color, this could be a great choice for a night or two.”

Hotel El Rancho provides a memorable stay with its beautiful building and amazing rooms, conveniently located on Route 66. Guests appreciate the fun atmosphere with movie memorabilia and the historic charm of this iconic hotel, including a gift shop and a restaurant where the tamales stand out for many. A stay with Some Minor Drawbacks

convenient location nice bar safe parking missing refrigerator small bathroom noisy compressor
The lobby has a nice bar. I could safely park my motorcycle there overnight. The hotel is well located on Route 66.
The room lacked a refrigerator. THE bathroom was tiny. There was a very noisy compressor outside the room that I could not turn off.

mixed experience with room issues

loose sink missing refrigerator
the room i stayed in, a beautiful double room, suffered from maintenance problems. the sink was loose, made washing difficult. the lack of a refrigerator in the room also proved inconvenient. i found it hard to properly store drinks and snacks, affecting my overall stay. there also was some weird animal who stung us in the room. these problems reduced my satisfaction.

loud ac unit broken ice machine
i stayed in a room, and i swear the ac unit sounded like a freight train. it rattled and groaned all night long. plus, the ice machine on my floor was out of order. this meant i had to trek down to another floor to get ice, a real drag when all i want to do is relax in my room. honestly, a quiet room and easy access to ice is not too much to ask.

dust bunnies party unsafe parking
i gotta say, the room weren't exactly sparkling. i think someone forgot to clean under the beds, i saw dust bunnies partying it up. also, the parking situation resembled something outta zombie movie. it reminded me of i needed a bodyguard just to reach my car at night. that's two things i could do without on vacation.
