Rooms Over the Sea
Eclypse de Mar Acqua Lodge offers bungalows and rooms. Bungalows feature a balcony, views, and a private entrance. Some include one room with a king-size bed and another with two twin beds. All bedrooms connect to a private terrace with ocean access. Bathrooms feature hot showers and filtered water. A glass panel allows viewing of marine life. Double rooms are in the main building and have a full-size bed, a ceiling fan, and a private balcony with dock access. The Tree House is near the Eclypse de Mar Nature Reserve entrance and features a king-size bed. A solarium with lounge chairs is available on the coast. The SEA LOFT is on the top floor and has a private terrace with views and a solarium with sea access.
Dining Over the Sea
Guests arriving before check-in can enjoy complimentary breakfast from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Eclypse de Mar offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu includes starters, seafood, pastas, and vegetarian options. Artisan desserts, wines, and cocktails are available.
Nature and Activities
This Eco Lodge provides access to its own Nature Reserve and Botanical Garden. The Eclypse de Mar Nature Reserve spans over 7 acres with trails and lagoons. Guests can see sloths, monkeys, alligators, red frogs, tropical birds, and butterflies. Activities include snorkeling, diving, and hiking. The hotel can arrange tours to snorkeling spots, beaches, and surf locations. Carved statues of Mayan gods from the Survivor Russia show are scattered throughout the preserve.
Location and Access
Eclypse de Mar is located near Wizard Beach on Bastimentos, known for surfing. Caranero, a surf break for beginners, is a 10-minute water taxi ride away. Isla Colón is accessible by plane from Panama City. A three-minute water taxi connects the hotel to restaurants. The Tree House is at the entrance to the Natural Reserve of Eclypse de Mar.
