Maximum of six water walkers are allowed in the walking lane at a time. If there are 1-2 swimmers, split the lane down the center, each swimmer staying to their own side of the lane. If there are 3-4 swimmers, circle swimming, counter-clockwise, in a speed-appropriate lane. Lanes are designated by speed (Fast-Medium-Slow). Swimmers should swim in the lane that best matches their swimming ability. If you need assistance finding an appropriate lane, ask the lifeguard for help. Swimming lessons begin at 9am. Berkeley Swimming hours are Monday and Wednesday, 7:30am - 12:00pm, and Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 7:30am - 1:00pm.
