peaceful location excellent service competitive prices
the building is beautiful and the location is peaceful i found the customer service to be excellent too. food was amazing in the restaurant i would return later. the prices felt competitive offering good value.
the shower pressure was weak it was hard to get a good wash.

comfortable bedroom elegant room friendly staff
the bedrooms are indeed comfortable. the upgraded room felt elegant and large. i had wonderful views of the gardens, it was good. staff were consistently friendly, they offered assistance whenever needed. food was both tasty and presented with care during dinner and breakfast. emily was a wonderful waitress, she remembered to smile.
a bedside lamp was not functional, though the room was nice. a window-opening hook was missing, made ventilation a challenge. i found this slightly inconvenient considering the otherwise lovely setting.

Breakfast was in the orangerie with lovely interior. That room was spacious. the restaurant offers a typical english interior and friendly service. the dovecliff bread and butter pudding is the best ever.

lovely experience
hotel character staff helpfulness excellent breakfast
the hotel has real character next to the river dove. the staff demonstrated great helpfulness. i enjoyed the excellent breakfast and dinner options.
the hotel hosted a festive party, which caused noise until midnight. my room was right above the event space, so sleeping was not possible.

my room was very comfy and tidy with a lovely view. the bedding felt luxurious , and the room temperature was easily adjustable. i appreciated the provided toiletries and ample towel supply.
