Rooms & Accommodations

Crystal Mountain offers rooms featuring Northern Michigan decor. Each room provides air conditioning, heating, a sitting area, and a terrace. Rooms also include a dressing area, a dining table, and garden furniture. Bathrooms come with free toiletries and a hairdryer. A washing machine and cookware are included. Entertainment options feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and an AM/FM alarm clock. Select rooms have a fireplace, jetted spa bath, microwave, and refrigerator. Some holiday homes are located along the golf course, near the outdoor pool and ski slopes, and include a sofa bed or wall bed. Studios provide a coffee machine, microwave, and refrigerator.

Dining Options

Crystal Mountain offers several onsite restaurants. The Thistle provides fine dining. The Wild Tomato features a varied menu. The Mountain Market has accompaniments for picnics, snacks, and gifts. Guests could find the Crystalettes entertaining dinner crowds each Wednesday through Sunday. A gourmet dinner for two is available, prepared by chefs.

Leisure and Entertainment

Crystal Mountain is host to the BRCC Total Archery Challenge powered by PSE. The resort includes a kid-friendly atmosphere. The North Mitten Half Marathon, 10k and 5k combines paved roads, dirt roads, and trails. The Kinlochen Shop offers extra layers for cross-country trails. The Peak Boutique features active wear, swimsuits, fashion accessories, Brighton jewelry, and logo apparel. Uphill skiing is allowed one hour before chair lift hours. There is a Tesla Destination Partner with two Tesla High Power Wall Connectors and three Level II chargers.

Location and Access

Crystal Mountain is located in Thompsonville, 45 km from Manistee County-Blacker Airport. It serves as a base camp to northern Michigan, with access to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, wineries and breweries, and the Michigan Legacy Art Park. The Bungalows at Crystal Glen connect to the rest of Crystal Mountain with walkways.

Services Available

The Inn at the Mountain Front Desk holds lost items from common areas for 14 days. Front Desk staff direct guests to parking during their stay. An instructor, certified by the PSIA/AASI and trained in childcare, guides up to three children of similar ability. The Ski-n-Ride program offers transportation to ski and snowboarding venues, including Crystal Mountain. An experienced team of instructors helps golfers. Extra caution is taken for high-touch points like remote controls and door handles.
