Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently praise the Clifton's comfortable and clean rooms, some of which offer fine sea views from balconies. Breakfast is a highlight, with options like a full English breakfast and the special 'Signature Breakfast' featuring cottage cheese, spring onion, and tomato. The hotel's location is considered excellent, close to the seafront and town, providing easy access to park and esplanade walks; while most find the value good, a few guests felt the price was a little high relative to other places they've stayed. Guests also appreciate the delightful garden or lounge where morning and afternoon teas are served, alongside an extensive Gin selection, and the proximity to attractions like Rylestone gardens.

I had such a fab time! the room was so clean and well-kept. the breakfast was seriously good, especially the full english breakfast. I really liked how it set me up for the day! plus, the location had amazing views over the coastal path to the sea. Such a beautiful sight!
The room was a little small for my liking, not much storage room there. the staff wasn't overly enthusiastic. Their reaction to simple requests felt a bit off-putting. the door didn't fully close, i could hear hall noise. A bit annoying!

a great stay!

amazing viewperfect balconyfull service breakfast
the room i stayed in was the small double room sea view. i had amazing views from the room and the balcony was perfect for watching the sunrise. the full service breakfast was indeed cooked to order, giving a great start to each day.
the ceiling fan in my room was great, but on really hot days, a desktop fan would have been an excellent addition for extra cooling.
