Château La Barge, built in 1795, offers apartments, guest rooms and a studio. The Apartment La Barge, in the right tower, accommodates 2 people with options for a baby bed or single bed. It features an old fireplace and a wooden spiral staircase. The Salle de Musique apartment, in a side-building, accommodates up to 5 people and showcases original craftsmanship. The Ponceau studio, in the left tower, features a walk-in closet, kitchenette, and garden views. Guest rooms Lavande and Pensée, on the first floor, include sunny balconies with views of the hills and the L'Auvezere river; these rooms can combine as a family residence.

Dining Options

A breakfast is available with local bread, fruit, and dairy. Upon request, a 3-course dinner is prepared with dishes typical for the French cuisine, or a barbecue with meat, fish, and vegetables can be prepared by the host.

Leisure & Entertainment

Guests can swim in the pool located in the park lined with fruit trees. A fire pit is available. Canoeing spots include Montignac and St Leon sur Vézère. From the waterfront, La Roque St Christophe prehistoric sites can be seen. The Appel de la Foret in Thenon offers 110 tree climbing challenges. The entire rear area of the building is a large camping site.

Château La Barge - Dordogne is 20 km from Perigueux Bassillac. The surrounding area offers opportunities for cycling. Hiking is available on the GR646 trail. The only chance of encountering a car is on a D road.
