Rooms and Cottages
Bear Hill Lodge has accommodations from standard rooms to cozy cabins. Each bright, woodsy room includes a private bathroom. The spacious room offers one queen bed, an extra-long single daybed, and a pullout hide-a-bed. The duplex cottage is located at ground level and includes a full bath and a kitchenette. Some rooms include a fireplace and a balcony. Cozy cabins feature two small bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, a full bath, and a sitting room with either a gas or wood fireplace. Double rooms feature a fireplace, a private bathroom with a walk-in shower and hairdryer, and a fully equipped kitchenette with a stovetop, refrigerator, kitchenware, and microwave. Some rooms offer mountain views, parquet or carpeted floors, flat-screen TVs with cable channels, a tea and coffee maker, and a wardrobe.
Breakfast at Bear Hill
Breakfast at Bear Hill includes freshly made muffins, scones, and fruit salad. Guests can enjoy breakfast next to the fireplace.
Leisure Facilities
The lodge has a sauna and hot tub. Guests can relax in an Adirondack chair with a book. Hiking trails to Patricia and Pyramid lakes are accessible directly from the rear of the property. Guests can hold a picnic outside on the tables. A gas grill can be rented for cookouts. Guests can use the trip-planning library to schedule their day.
Location in Jasper
Nestled away in a beautiful corner of town, Bear Hill Lodge is set in the mountain village of Jasper within Jasper National Park. Jasper's main shopping and tourist area is a 10-minute walk. Nearby landmarks include the Athabasca River (2.5 km), Old Fort Point Summit (2.5 km), Medicine Lake (1 km), and Patricia Lake (2.5 km).
Lodge Amenities
WiFi is available in all areas. The property provides heating, tea and coffee facilities, a sitting area, and garden furniture. Rooms include free toiletries, cookware/kitchen utensils, and an electric kettle. A coffee maker with free coffee is provided.
“While some of the smaller summer cottages may feel cramped for longer stays and lack expected amenities like a fridge, opting for a studio cabin or homestead offers more space and modern comforts, including kitchenettes and fireplaces. Though a bit removed from the town center requiring a 15-minute walk, the quiet residential setting provides a peaceful retreat. Ultimately, I think booking a larger cabin is key to fully appreciating this Jasper lodge.”
