Hotel AM Schloss offers several room types. Single rooms facing north feature soundproof windows. Superior single rooms are located on the south side on the fourth and fifth floors. Double rooms with castle views are located on the south side on the fourth and fifth floors and offer an extra bed. Twin rooms with two single beds are located on the south side on the fourth and fifth floors. Twin rooms facing north feature soundproof windows. All rooms include a bathroom with shower, minibar, Wi-Fi, color TV, hairdryer and are accessible by elevator. Non-smoking rooms are available. Each room includes free toiletries, a wardrobe, heating and a flat-screen TV. Select rooms feature landmark or mountain views.
Dining and Drinks
The Bar-Lounge Anthra provides drinks and snacks. Live sports events are shown on big screens. In winter, home-made mulled wine with fondue appetizers is served beside the fire bowl. The castle restaurant in the courtyard of Thun Castle serves afternoon coffee and cake. Beverages and ice cream are available at the entrance of the museum in the shop.

Hotel AM Schloss offers access to cultural activities and leisure. The Castles of the Lakeside, Thun, Oberhofen und Spiez, invite visitors to explore the Middle Ages. Guests can visit the donjon built around 1200 by the Dukes of Zähringen at Thun Castle. Thun offers exhibitions, concerts, markets and shopping.
Location & Transportation
Hotel AM Schloss is located at the foot of the castle hill and near the pedestrian zone. It is 1 km from Thun and 25 km from Belp. Bern-Belp Airport is a 20-minute drive away. Bus line STI No 1 (platform 3, direction Steffisburg/Flühli) stops at 'Berntor', opposite the hotel. From the highway exit Thun North A6, it is 1.5 km towards Thun-Gunten. The hotel is a 15-minute walk through the old town from the railway station.

The hotel has limited parking spaces in a private underground parking lot for CHF 15 per night.
