The Collingwood Arms is generally considered excellent value for money, with spacious and comfortable rooms; some guests have specifically enjoyed rooms like the 'Prince' room. Its location is convenient for visiting Coldstream and attractions like Norham Castle. Many guests relish the delicious food served in the restaurant, sometimes noting that rooms above the restaurant and beer garden can be noisy; however, the lovely breakfast and dinners often feel like dining in an upmarket establishment.

Mixed Feelings About My Stay

convenient locationnoise disturbanceno privacy
The location served well as a stopping point on my journey.
My room faced the beer garden, so noise was an issue. The lack of blinds on the windows also meant a complete lack of privacy from people outside (I seemed like I was on display). It got pretty warm and the hotel didn't have any fans available. I ended up not sleeping very well at all.

the entrance and bar area were cute.
the room lacked blinds at the windows , meaning a lack of privacy. i suggest obscuring the lower glass or adding blinds. the weather was hot, and fans were not available.
