Hotel Principe Real is often praised for its location, a short walk from attractions like Avenida da Liberdade and even São Jorge Castle for those who enjoy a longer stroll, and close to parks, bars, and restaurants. Many guests appreciate the spacious rooms, with some highlighting the larger rooms on the top floor that feature an anteroom and a balcony; plus, some enjoyed city views from their rooms. The breakfast receives consistent positive feedback, with varied choices including cooked-to-order options and egg tarts that some found even better than local bakeries, although a few guests have noted that the rooms and facilities felt a bit outdated.

the location was very central. it made getting around very easy. the breakfast was also very good and i appreciated the long breakfast hours from 7:30 to 12:00. staff were helpful and friendly. i found this aspect particularly nice.
the lighting in the bathroom was quite dim. plug points were also loose, nearly falling out. the kettle had to be placed on the floor since all the plug points were at floor level. it was inconvenient.

Charming Stay!

fresh egg tartsexcellent locationdated rooms
I was charmed by the breakfast here. It had many choices and was cooked to order which was very nice. The egg tarts was so good. It taste better than the bakery ones! I love the location too, I walked everywhere.
Our room seemed a bit dated. The plug points are coming out of the socket. Lighting in the bathroom were also dim.

Our room had shutters on the windows. These shutters kept the sun out and kept the room cool. It worked. The bed was also very comfy. Very much needed after all the walking up hills.
