The room was beautiful and very well equipped. the pool water was lovely and warm. The sauna was amazing too.
the hotel did not have an obvious switch for the red neon bar sign, so it remained on constantly.

the staff were friendly. our 'snug room' was actually quite spacious. emily guided us through our clay ritual and was really kind.
the decor was quite dark and unwelcoming. i found the receptionist upon arrival to be a bit cold. the snack tray prices in the room seemed extortionate.

invigorating ritualdelicious chowderoutdoor bathtuboverpriced mash
the hotel offered a couples clay ritual that was invigorating. dinner was included , and i found the seafood chowder delicious. our room had a small terrace area complete with an outdoor bathtub and seating. breakfast featured a very large range of options.
i ordered guinness and steak pie , but it was small bits of steak in gravy covered in mash. it felt overpriced and not really worth the cost. my wife's lamb shank was fatty.

The staff elevated my experience. They were so friendly and accommodating. Leah at reception was really good. She showed us the facilities, including the spa. Ben at the bar made me a wonderful off-menu cocktail. I was really happy! Charlie in the spa gave us great tips on using the mud ritual. That was very helpful.
My room wasn't quite ready when I arrived. It caused a small delay. I wasn't shown to my room. I had to find it myself. The curtains were hanging off the wall with Velcro tape. I was a bit surprised.

Balanced Experience at this location

modern designcomfy beddelicious breakfastunprepared staffempty restaurantodd service
My Comfy room was clean. It had a modern design. The bed was the comfiest I slept on. Breakfast I had was included. It was delicious.
Staff were not ready for lunch when I arrived. The restaurant was empty at that time. The waitress needed to check for another table when the place was empty. It seemed odd to me. Food was not good. I describe it as edible.
