the hotel was fine at first. i had booked a room with breakfast, but when i arrived, the staff claimed i had only paid for one person's breakfast. this caused an argument, and they were not helpful. i found that the bathroom door was peeling, and the shower head looked quite old and calcified.

The location was very central. It was close to the Royal Mile and Princes Street. The breakfast buffet included a wide selection of continental choices and hot food options. Pancakes were available, cooked to order from the kitchen.
The air-conditioning switched off during the night causing the room to become warm.
