I found the staff very helpful at the reception, in the bar, and also in the restaurant. The meals were excellent, and the service was quick and efficient. Parking was also easy to manage (plenty of spaces).

I found the staircase lighting a little dim in some areas.

The grounds had mature trees offering shaded areas and open lawns. The immediate surroundings included well kept gardens. These gardens provided a tranquil setting within walking distance of local amenities.

The room lights? practically useless. didn't matter if they were on or off. Same dim gloom. and dont even get me started on the lumpy pillows. sleeping was a real adventure because they were so bad.

the hotel location was perfect. scenic areas were all over and beautiful hiking was available. the location is a great choice as a luxury homebase when exploring the highlands. i loved the attention to detail in decorations. the shower was hot, and i enjoyed a hearty breakfast before setting off.

the ambience and lighting were terrible. this place could be so much better if they turned down the lighting in the restaurant. a few lamps and a bit of a makeover could make it more comfortable. there was little in the way of soap, body wash, shampoo, conditioner in the bathroom

a magical stay!

the view from our room's balcony was so romantic, and the staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. the common areas felt cozy with beautiful furnishings. the food was AMAZING!!! i particularly enjoyed relaxing in the bar and reminded me of i was transported to another world.

i felt a bit let down by the water pressure, which wasn't great. this was good.
