“This two-star hotel delivers surprising value, especially the inclusive breakfast. The staff's genuine warmth is a highlight, creating a familial atmosphere that transcends the hotel's modest trappings. While a touch worn around the edges, its proximity to both the train station and Riviera International Centre, plus the very good food for the price, make it a practical choice in Torquay.”

good food short walk unattractive room cramped shower
the hotel had a swimming pool (i prefer swimming in the sea!). the lounge was nice. the food was good, just simple english food. the location was a short walk to the beach, though the return walk was uphill.
the room looked unattractive. the shower felt cramped, and i could not find a place to put toiletries. i found the breakfast just ok, nothing special.

Fantastic Find!
friendly staff clean room delicious breakfast
I found the staff very friendly and helpful, really adding to the cute atmosphere. My room was clean and well-kept. It had everything I needed, like a kettle and TV. Breakfast service was quick, and the full English was freshly made, so I enjoyed it (especially the crispy bacon!).
The lift felt quite small.
Service
10/10
Front of house staff were informative and accommodating. They created a real, honest atmosphere. The restaurant staff, particularly Mo, were friendly and helpful (they remembered my order every morning!).
Dining
9/10
Breakfast offered good value for the money with fresh food promptly served. The bar prices were reasonable, and the evening entertainment was a bonus (the live music was surprisingly good!).
