Decent stay but some issues
uncomfortable pillows dismissive receptionist
The hotel was very clean, which I appreciated.
The pillows were quite uncomfortable. They felt either too hard or too lumpy. It was difficult to get a good night's sleep. the receptionist seemed dismissive when I mentioned the issue, saying they hadn't received complaints about the pillows before. I found this hard to believe.

spacious room variety breakfast friendly staff
The room was spacious and very quiet. I liked the large bed. The shower worked great! Breakfast had variety. They offered a cooked Scottish breakfast, melon, cheese, croissants, and pancakes. The staff was friendly and helpful too.

The hotel features modern facilities. It includes a well-equipped fitness center. I noted that there were several restaurants nearby. I also saw a nice bar area to relax.

quiet room perfect ac
I appreciated the room's quietness. The back out blinds helped a lot. The AC worked perfectly. The hotel is a short walk to the Royal Mile. It made exploring simple.
I noticed a very slight delay when asking for coffee during the breakfast buffet one morning.

Acceptable Hotel Experience
helpful staff spacious room opened window hard bed high sink great expectations
The reception staff were cute and very helpful! My room was spacious and clean. It had both air conditioning and windows that opened easily.
I had greater expectations given the cost of staying here two nights! The bed was really hard. This is a dealbreaker for me when staying in a hotel! The sink in the bathroom sat quite high.
