Drake Bay Getaway Resort By Sandglass, 10 km from Aeropuerto de Bahia Drake, provides five eco-luxury cabins: Bromeliad, Heliconia, Orchid, Lantana, and Passion. Each cabin includes a king-size orthopaedic bed with options for additional beds for families. Cabins use passive cooling designs, avoiding air conditioning. Bathrooms feature dual rain shower heads, electric and solar-heated water, and Italian/Spanish ceramic tiling. Every cabin provides a view of the ocean and jungle. The Orchid cabin is engineered for passive cooling. All rooms have high-speed internet access via Wi-Fi and include daily housekeeping and laundry services. A small hike up gravel paths is required to reach the bungalows.
Costa Rican cuisine
The onsite restaurant at Drake Bay Getaway Resort offers a menu inspired by Costa Rican cooking with modern flavors. Meals are based on each guest's dietary needs, using local ingredients like fish, shrimp, grass-fed beef, vegetables, and tropical fruits. The hotel offers unlimited fruit smoothies and gourmet coffee drinks made from Costa Rican-grown coffee beans. Desserts change daily, with options such as coconut flan and chocolate lava cake. Unlike many other resorts, Drake Bay Getaway captures and filters its own water. We do not offer any soft drinks at our hotel.
