Really good Stay with Fantastic Service!

The room included an iron and ironing board. A hairdryer was available in the room. I found tea and coffee making facilities ready for use.
The water pressure in the shower was not great. It made showering a bit of a chore.

dated decor ballroom noise
the room was not great (i booked a 'premier' room). the decor seemed dated. i found the parking situation annoying. it reminded me of a gamble to find a spot, and i ended up paying extra to park across the road. also, noise from the ballroom kept me awake some nights.

mixed feelings about this stay

outdated decor inconsistent hot water
the location was acceptable with its proximity to the beach.
i found the decor to be massively outdated and some facilities were not up to par. hot water in the shower was inconsistent, seemingly shared between rooms, it often ran cold before i finished. this was a real inconvenience.

surprisingly lovely stay

great location hotel parking good entertainment excellent choice
the location was great with many places nearby to enjoy meals and relaxation. hotel parking was available, though i did have to hunt a bit to find a spot. the entertainment was a good surprise, especially since it was my first visit. the price made it an excellent choice and i got everything i expected (and a bit more!).
The lifts felt a bit dated. They could easily be the setting for a creepy movie (but they worked fine!).

friendly staff double bed onsite entertainment convenient location
the bar staff was always friendly and very helpful (a big plus!). i only booked a single room, but i got a double bed in my room, so that was a nice surprise. the location was convenient to boutique shops and food stalls.
the drink supplies in my room weren't topped up, and there wasn't any soap in the bathroom. i had to ask for it.
Facilities

the hotel offers a fantastic pool that my children enjoyed thoroughly, a pub on the ground floor where i found tasty food, and there are regular singing and dancing performances for entertainment. i felt secure because keycard access was required for each corridor.
