The hotel had winding paths surrounded by trees. It reminded me of a true escape. I enjoyed the buggy services. They shuttled me across the estate. The breakfast was palatable and met expectations for a five-star hotel.
The gym seemed a bit outdated, but I made it work.

A Reasonable Stay

The hotel had lush greenery that created a relaxed atmosphere. The Bait restaurant provided nice seafood. The location near the beach was great for lunch. I must say the drivers, Rajesh, Vishnu and Aravind, were a real help for my day trips around the area. Their knowledge was really appreciated.
My room looked tired. Management admitted a substantial refurbishment across the hotel was needed. Dirty glasses remained in the room for two days. I had to ask for them to be removed. Pool tiles were also losing their tiles, and the pool beds looked quite old.

The beautiful suites sea view balcony king bed room offered fine views. i appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel. House keeping kept my room immaculate. the restaurant staff were very attentive. Abishek in particular made sure i had everything i needed.
wifi signal was a bit weak around the pool area.

my week long stay coincided with my mother's 83rd birthday and the team made it special, especially since we had to cancel previous reservations. srijit at the front office selected a room suited to my mother's needs, a very thoughtful gesture. shiva coordinated a nice trip to poovar island, he ensured my mother's comfort and safety. chef rawat and team embraced our requests with enthusiasm, the meals were consistently enchanting.

the breakfast buffet had king fish pollichetu , fish manga curry, and banana flower cutlet. there were also malai and mango flavored kulfi. ada/kadla/paal and ari payasam served each evening. abhishek from jasmine bay provided great knowledge of local cuisine , understanding our love for different cuisines.

aarthi and meganathan from housekeeping decorated my mother's room for her birthday and arranged a cake. abbil, an intern, and sanjay assisted at the lawns for activities. nandini, sebby, priya, and a male ayurveda therapist were all fabulous at jwellness spa.

the cottage offered nice cleanliness and a lot of greenery around. the presidential suite was massive and comfortable , with a beautiful view. i found the facilities wonderful and the buggy was always available when expected.

the buggy drivers and security staff were cordial , understanding and prompt to cater to requests for wheelchair or buggy assistance. the care and concern was visible in their conduct and translated in their service. my mother's lagoon boat ride was made smooth.

I was a bit disappointed with the service. It wasn't up to par with other hotels I've stayed at. The staff seemed stretched thin. Getting a simple request fulfilled took longer than expected! the upkeep of the hotel could be better. I noticed some wear and tear in the common areas, like chipped paint and cracked tiles. It detracted from the overall ambiance.

I was impressed by the efficient, warm welcome. The accommodation was clean. I also appreciated the nice ambience in the reception area and bar. Staff members were always friendly and smiling.
I noticed rooms have steep steps for access, particularly the suites. This could be a challenge with mobility issues. Perhaps clearer information or alternative routes could be provided.
