Beachfront Cabins
Sol Caribe has three Beach Suites opening directly onto the sand. Each suite includes two double beds, a ceiling fan, 24-hour electricity, a closet, and a private bathroom with a hot and cold shower. Windows have mosquito nets, and each suite has a private terrace equipped with a hammock, table, and chairs. Suites sleep 2-4 people. Garden views are available from cabins with a king-size bed or two double beds. Select suites offer sea views from the terrace and include two double beds, a king-size bed, and a single bed. A beachfront cabin features a king-size bedroom and a private terrace.
Caribbean Dining
The restaurant at Sol Caribe features a bar with a deck providing Caribbean views. Chef Liberato Mukul Uc prepares seafood. Maple syrup, Nutella, sweetened condensed milk, honey, jam, and caramel are available.
Activities and Tours
Sol Caribe is located within the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve, a 1.3 million-acre national park established in 1986. It is located in one of the world's prime fly fishing locations on Ascension Bay. Guests can take boat tours along the Sian Ka'an canal, originally built by the Mayans over 1,000 years ago, or visit the turquoise Chunyaxche lagoon and the Mayan ruin Xlahpak temple. The Meso-American Reef, the largest coral reef system in the Western Hemisphere, is nearby. Sol Caribe arranges activities such as snorkelling and deep sea fishing. One-day tours provide insights into the area's natural and historical interplay. Saltwater flats and fly fishing locations are nearby. Ascension Bay contains a diverse variety of game fish. Bonefish is common in Ascension Bay. The Punta Allen area attracts light-tackle anglers. Guests can visit the Muyil ruin, and climb the 17 m high 'El Castillo'.
Location in Sian Ka'an
This resort is located in the Sian Ka'an Nature Reserve on the Yucatán Peninsula, with a white sandy beach. The area features mangroves, jungles, lagoons, and deserted Caribbean beaches. Sian Ka'an houses 103 known mammal species, 336 known bird species, amphibians, and reptiles. It supports the Meso-American Reef Fund, a conservation trust project of the World Wildlife Federation.
